Mapping515

For a group show at the Metropolitan museum of Art, a specific gallery was chosen to be mapped as the artist interpreted it. Thomas created mapping515, a meditation on the gallery 515, the Lansdowne dining room. The room was approached as a living space that had been uprooted, existing now as a preserved piece in a museum. Attention was paid to the manner in which visitors approached to the room and rotoscoping was used to reference the room's history. The full project is hosted at mapping515.com and metmuseum.mappped.com
